Aqueous Film Forming Foam concentrate (AFFF), formulated with new generation AFFF fluorinated surfactants which are environmentally safer. SAFEPRO AFFF is formulated with fluorinated surfactant, synthetic surfactant, solvent and blended with preservatives and stabilizers. It produces thin strong film on hydrocarbon fuel surface. The foam spreads rapidly on fuel surface due to positive spreading provided by fluorinated surfactants and the foam blanket excludes oxygen from the fuel surface and provides cooling effect leading to fast flame knockdown and extinguishment.
SAFEPRO AFFF is suitable for class B fires of hydrocarbons like crude oil, gasoline, diesel, kerosene etc in sectors like refineries tank terminals, process areas, power stations, offshore and onshore installation etc. AFFF can also be used as a wetting agent in combating fires in class A materials such as wood, paper, rubber and tyres.
AFFF can be used with all types of foam proportioning and discharge devices such as portable and fixed (in-line) proportioners, branchpipes, balance pressure variable flow proportioners, bladder tanks ratio controllers and around-thepump proportioners, spray fog nozzles, monitors, foam makers, foam chambers, foam pourers, rim seal foam pourers, sprinklers etc.
SAFEPRO AFFF is compatible with dry powders and other equivalent foams.
When stored in sealed original containers, the product has a long shelf life of 10 years. The shelf life of foam is also dependent on the storage temperatures and conditions. Recommended storage temperature 0°C to 50°C. The product can withstand intermittent short time exposure up to 55°C. Ensure that the containers are not directly exposed to sunlight and heat. It is unaffected by freeze/thaw cycles.
Being based on fluorinated surfactants, AFFF is environmentally safe, bio-degradable, low toxic to the aquatic organisms. The handling of spills of concentrate or foam solution should however be undertaken according to local regulations. Normally sewage systems can dispose foam solution based on this type of foam concentrate, but local sewage operators should be consulted in this respect. Refer MSDS for additional information.
Foam concentrate is critical component of modern fire-fighting systems when used to prevent fires caused by products containing combustible liquids or in commercial or manufacturing industries. If you need a good supplier of quality foam concentrates in Saudi Arabia (Cities such as Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah), selecting an appropriate vendor provides you with assured safety, adherence to Regulations and an optimal design for Fire Suppressive Performance.
Foam concentrate is a special type of liquid used in firefighting that is typically mixed with water to make a foam. The foam forms a protective layer on the burning surface by blocking the oxygen supply to the flames, reducing vapor, and preventing the flames from re-igniting. It is common in many locations including oil and gas facilities, chemical manufacturing plants, airports, warehouses, marine environments, and other industrial areas.
